Here's hoping everyone who celebrates had a Happy July 4th! We've been hard at work this week to bring new content to the table, even working through the holiday some. I found that the rooms were quite bland, so I decided to put the randomization code that I worked on to the test. There was a lot of effort put into getting more diverse rooms to spawn this week, as it was on our to-do list.

The first thing I did was add more variety to the items that spawn in rooms. Currently, there's some placeholder furniture that can spawn instead of just the mirrors, which took some work to find. When powerups are implemented, they'll also be added to the same list as the mirrors and furniture. Additionally, the rooms themselves can now vary in shape- having the option for differently shaped walls, or even being massive holes or deep chasms. This is handled about the same way as the item placements. It gives the game a lot more options, in my opinion. Hopefully I can expand on this more in the future, but this looks very good so far, especially with the fact the rooms have some texturing, now!

Additionally, some code needs to be fixed. We've gotten rooms to appear correctly between users, but we've found the objects aren't spawning correctly. As of typing this, we haven't thought of an exact fix. I think that will be our next bug to target, but for now, the room generation is looking very good. Hopefully we'll have that fixed by the end of the month. Until next week, take care!
